SQ4S Celebrates National Energy Efficiency Awards Success

Square 4 Services (SQ4S) is delighted to be recognised twice in the ‘Solar PV Project’ category at the National Energy Efficiency Awards 2019 – awarded ‘Second Place’ winner and ‘Special Commendation’. The ceremony held at the Vox Conference Centre and Genting Hotel in Birmingham on 27th September, celebrated the work of solar PV installers and contractors across the country, highlighting industry leading standards and best practice.

SQ4S received the ‘Second Place’ award in the ‘Solar PV Project’ category for the excellent service it delivered during the implementation of Solar PV at the University Hospital of North Tees, one of the busiest hospitals in the North East. Delivering a robust planning programme that championed safety and did not impact patient services, SQ4S excelled in its responsible approach to delivery.

Judges also recognised SQ4S with ‘Special Commendation’ for its collaboration with Lidl on the creation of a new National Framework for Solar PV. SQ4S has worked closely with Lidl to devise a strategy for Solar PV design and installation which will see over 100 of its stores equipped with Solar PV capacity in the next three years. This will form a crucial part of Lidl’s continued commitment to ingraining sustainability into its business.
