The Challenge
This new 80 bedroom hotel building was required to generate over 26,500kW of Solar PV Energy per year to satisfy the building regulations. The main roof was not large enough when you considered the other roof top equipment to be installed……
The Solution
SQ4S provided a design to install a 31kw system, split over the higher and lower roof, to ensure the required yield was met. The location is very exposed, so greater than normal ballast was required to overcome the predicted wind loadings.
The Result
SQ4S installed a 31kWp ballasted flat roof Solar PV system that would generate the required 26,985kW of clean electricity per year to be consumed by the hotel
