Alder Hey Case Study
The major challenge within this project was the sites constraints. Working next to one of the most recognisable and busiest children’s hospitals in the world and also in a busy residential area meant that our installers and deliveries had to be on time to ensure disruption to the local area was kept to a minimum. The installation had to achieve 20kWp however due to a green roof being installed with Wild Flower meadow, roof space was limited. We completed a design that met the developer’s specification.
SQ4S completed a full design and worked in conjunction with the green roof contractors, the main contractor and of course the M&E contractor to ensure design that met not only the specification but eliminated any potential access issues in the future for maintenance of the green roof. The system was also designed in stages as part of the install will be moved onto to phase three of the build once the programme is complete.
A 20kWp system that the exceeded the original design expectations due to the on-site constraints. Another project finished on time, in Budget and with exceptionally high customer satisfaction.
